ETSY TREASURIES.. Erin Go Bragh Treasury #1. From diellebee :)

Hello everyone!
It's been a while.. Again.
I'm hoping to be able to promote a bit some other fellow Etsians, this time by sharing my own picks from Etsians in Ireland.
My first Erin Go Bragh treasury is about handmade jewelry that it's inspired by nature, fantasy and some irish celtic vibe on it.
There's a nice range of prices from the affordable 9€ to around 80€, but either cheap or more expensive ones all are made exquisitely and look great no matter the price.
So please check them out and lets spread some celtic love ^_^

CHRISTMAS is near! Gift ideas and helping out each other..

The magical holiday is coming soon and some people are getting ready to have all their gift list sorted.
Some still doesn't have a clue what to get for that picky auntie or that super trendy stylish niece that almost has everything.. It's hard to please everyone! Some things might be too cliche and some other things might be too specific and not exactly what they would ever get for themselves.. We want to give something special and that they will like, right?
I'm going to create a list of things for different type of people. And I thought.. Why not helping other Etsy friends have their businesses running too?
So today I will post up the first of my ETSY GIFTS FINDS and I hope they can give you and idea or inspire you for whoever you want to gift in this jolly holiday.

Gone with the wind.. but clouds always come back!

I've been gone for a while now.. I haven't posted a thing in here, it seems I'm not really good keeping on posting on a blog. If this was a personal diary I would probably be writing every day but it's not..
I have been focusing more and more into my Art and Illustrations. I really want to end up becoming a full time Designer and Illustrator and found a way to let know people about all my creations. No, is not only Facebook, but the controversial yet amazing Etsy.
I'll post here even if it's every two or three days talking about my new art and also if I have time and energy, about the other things I usually write in here like anime and outfits.
Thanks for reading and I'll keep posting now and then :)

ARTSY OUTFIT: Capu-jeans-oh!

If you love coffee I'm sure you've tried a Capuccino already. Yes.. Creamy and sweet Capuccino, with its chocolate powder on top of the creamy froth.. Mmmm.. Delicious!
This outfit it's exquisite too yet quite simple for the down to earth lady. Ok so lets review it.. So you have the Capuccino already in hand? Nice!
The sweater was a bargain I got in TKMaxx. I liked it's original shape and cut, it's wide on its upper side yet it clings to the body midway down both on the tummy area and the arms from elbow to wrist. It's open on the sides of the shoulder and it has a chain accent on it. It's really comfortable and it's not too thick to wear in Spring.
I'm wearing washed blue bootleg jeans I got in TKMaxx too (I love bargains in this shop! :D) and I had to cut the ends as I'm not that tall, but I love the little strings that comes out like that.
I'm wearing the same Mary Jane shoes I wear in the Mocha-jeans-oh! outfit. I bought them years ago and can't even remember where. They are platform heel about two inches high with a vintage twist for the all the romantic fahionistas. Comfort and style for the artist that loves Capuccinos viewing nice live canvases.

BLOOMING OUTFIT: Mocha-jeans-oh!

Jeans are never out of season, neither a cup of Mochaccino! Enjoy an afternoon or evening Mochaccino (with good company or by yourself) dressed in this lovely outfit with a denim dress and a lovely ruffled cardigan.
I bought the dress years ago in Zara, one of my favourite clothing shops. I love the shape and the skirt is quite wide but because is made of a heavy denim it won't float away!
Since it's still a bit cold out there I'm wearing a high neck top with no sleeves, to keep my neck and chest covered.
The cardigan I bought it on the Internet from Ebay if I'm correct. I love the ruffles and dreamy romantic accent it gives to the whole set.
I'm wearing tights that match the cardigan and the shoes are dark brown, matching the top underneath the dress.
I am also wearing a faux leather flower bracelet, I got it from Awear a long while ago on sales.
I think this set is just warm and pretty to wear for the early Spring, maybe to brighten it up you could wear a beige/cream handbag with a cream beret or coat.

THINGS THAT MATTER FIRST..

I had a bit of a hard weekend. I was going to post on Saturday but because some personal issues I wasn't in the mood for that. I'll have to post the outfits later in the evening but from tomorrow all will be again normal as planned.
Sunday was a weird day, got my period quite late and was suffering of the "consequences", but because of that I was distracted from thinking much of the events of the day before.
If you are given an opportunity of changing one thing in your life or asking for one thing, what would it be? Well.. I asked that myself but now I understand something, you don't need for that opportunity to come because you already have what it takes to change or get that into your life.  You are the only master of your life.
I hope you all had a great weekend :)

Friday, 17 May 2013

I've not posted anything today. I was so busy with work that it's not that I forgot but I'm so tired that I thought about all this a bit too late.
So I'll post some great posts tomorrow to make up for today's absence, even though I was thinking of having my weekends post-free.
Please stay tuned for tomorrow's posts and have all a good time, wherever you might be! :D

FRAMED CLOUD: Fairy tale series FOLLOWING RED

Following Red is the first of a series of paintings inspired by the fairytale stories of the Brothers Grimm.
I wanted to show the scene of calmness of the innocent Red Riding hood walking on a esplanade before entering the dark woods where the wolf would try to approach her.
I wanted to make it simple yet interesting.
I showed this one to many friends and some said it was nice but "dark".. Well.. The real fairytale stories of Brothers Grimm are not actually so cute and bright like the cartoon Disney portraits, they are quite dark and creepy actually.
This one took me about 4 hours to paint.

FRAMED CLOUD: 1st Painting GREEN NYMPH

This is the first painting after so long..
There was this fast art/illustration video on Youtube and I liked the final art so much that I got inspired to paint my own.
I can't remember the name of the video but if I remember one day I'll post it here.
It took me about 5-6 hours to create this one, and I started with a blob in the middle of the canvas.. I didn't know how it would look like when finished so I'm pretty impressed it came out so nicely!
I also found weird to use a tablet, it was actually my first time I really did something to have to use it for more than 5 minutes so it took a while to adapt to it.
I forgot many things of Photoshop too, twelve years ago I  had to learn to use it because of my Graphic design studies, but we didn't use it for Illustration purposes. And also year after year all this software changes a lot, so imagine in twelve years!
I had to have a Photoshop book at hand just in case, and believe I had to stop painting many many times to check how to do this or that.
I hope you like this one! :)

TOMORROW'S POSTS: Clouds and clouds of Imagination!

It's midnight and I cannot sleep.. I'll try to go back to bed again in few minutes after I post this.
Tomorrow's post are about my Illustrations and paintings..
All the pictures and Images in this Blog are made by me and therefore I'm the owner and they are protected of copyright, all those taken from other sources I'll state their ownership under the picture.
Since I was very little that I have a very strong imagination, it flows easily like if I was watching television.. Because of that I always liked to draw and paint whatever it came into my mind.
I used to think it was a hobby but as I grew older I've noticed is something I really liked and many friends always praised me for all my drawings, many said it was my gift, the gift of art.
Unfortunately (and also because I've been stupid and did many mistakes) for many years I stopped drawing and painting, I just didn't have the passion nor the time for it.
A year and a half ago I decided to pursue this path again after 7 years of doing nothing artistically like I used to do. So on a weekend watched many good Photoshop tutorials on Youtube, then when I was feeling ready with the urge to paint I armed myself with my new tablet and started painting..
I hope you all enjoy my illustrations and drawings!
Please feel free to write any comments as long as they are not with ill intentions, always be respectfull.
I also accept constructive criticism! :D

Many thanks for watching!

BLOOMING OUTFIT: The theme de la Creme

This is one of my favourite set of clothes, both main elements (jacket and dress) are versatile and can be mix matched with almost anything and look great for many occasions.
The dress is from YUMI, one of my favourite British brands that are known for their vintage inspired clothing. You can wear it by itself although because of it's layers and inner cotton lining it could be a bit too warm to wear on the summer, unless you are in a colder country then it's fine.
A light cardigan is an alternative to the jacket if you think the latest is too warm to wear on.
The jacket I got it few years ago, it's from ZARA, and gives a down-to-earth-but-yet-spirited look! It adds a cheeky note to the dress which is more innocent angelic style.
I normally wear boots or shoes with this one, usually boots when the weather is cold. The ones I'm showing I got them ages ago in Penneys, but there's many boots on sale now that is similar to this one.
As accessories I would wear teardrop shaped earrings and bracelets with floral accents, and if they are colourful they'll give a more fun note to the whole set.
To put the cherry on top wear a fresh and sweet perfume. Delicious!

ARTSY OUTFIT: Hippie check blouse

I describe my style between Romantic and Comfortable, needs to look nice but I have to feel natural and confident in it: if it's too complicated to move around and doesn't let me a minimum of activity with it, then it's not worth wearing!
Obviously some occasions are needed to wear something that I have to sacrifice a bit of comfort, but a day is just a day, an exception!
Today I'm going to show you an outfit that reminds me of a hippie artist would wear.
Jeans with the ends cut-ripped, brown boots, and the signature element: a dress-blouse that is floaty, with pockets on the side.
I love the elastic boat neck, I think boat neck are generally pretty and quite stylish!
The check pattern gives it a juvenile air, and check patterns are never out of season although it's mostly associated with colder seasons, the key is to play with the colour and tones. Per example, a checked pattern with pastel pink and brown and green olive fine lines over a cream light fabric would suit for Spring, while black, blue lines over green thick wool fabric would suit for Winter.
On top of that I find accessories like a blue beret or wide woolly headband and some long necklaces would fit perfectly and give more attitude to the whole set.
What do you think?

TOMORROW POSTS.. STAY TUNNED! :D

Tomorrow I'm going to start posting my THEMED OUTFIT posts, all using clothes I already own and also some interesting combinations I may come up with clothes of  while looking around Internet.
I believe I have a good and nice sense of matching clothes, colours and accessories.
I hope you all like them. Any comments and advices are very welcome!
Many thanks for watching!

MADE IN JAPAN ROM/COM ANIME 2

Picture property of Hana Yori Dango Yoko Kamio and Toei Animation.
So here comes my 2nd Favourite Romcom anime: Hana Yori Dango (en english is Boys Over Flowers). All starts when from poor family Makino Tsukushi enrolls into a school that the richest and most powerful families go, Eitoku Gakuen
It is also known to be ruled by Flower 4 or F4, a group of four boys who come from very rich and powerful families: Domyoji Tsukasa (the group's leader and the heir of the World Financial group Domyoji, Hanazawa Rui, Nishikado Sojiro, and Mimasaka Akira
If a student gets on the F4’s bad side, he/she gets a red card and is mistreated by the entire school and possibly driven out of it.
Makino hopes she passes a very quiet school time until she graduates, but one day she confronts Domyoji to defend her best friend.
She receives the red card and she starts being bullied by anyone in the school but she continues in the school because she's brave enough to stand by herself no matter what, and declares a war against F4. Rui Hanazawa takes some kind of interest on her, also as time passes between arguments and fights with Domyoji, the leader starts to have feelings towards her.
It's a very entertaining anime and though she's being harassed constantly on the beginning, somehow I don't feel akward with the situation of hers because she shows so much strength and bravery and you can't help but admire and feel her.
The series is based on the Japanese shoujo manga "Hana Yori Dango" (Boys Before Flowers) by Kamio Yoko.

Too early too much light!

So.. It seems I'm still a bit sleepy or something. I deleted a post by accident just few seconds ago and have to re-write all again.
I was grumping yesterday in a post about the little sunshine we have here in Ireland, yet it's clearly Spring. How do I know? Well you know it is when you suddenly wake up because there's light coming out from your curtains (provided you don't have blinds or blackout curtains that covers totally the window), you still feel tired and wonder why, then you check and it's still 5AM in the morning.. And it doesn't matter if it's midweek or the weekend, sun is waiting for you to come out of bed, or at least, keep you awake until you feel bored of staying in.
My igoogle shows me it's still cold and to not to get fooled by that bright light, so I need to wear something thick and warm.
I can't wait for my holidays in Barcelona..
